Our Mission Statement
The mission statement of Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra is to “Strengthen and enhance the lives of women and youth in our community and the world.” With our established mission in mind, we participate in programs at our local level based on the specific needs of our community. In addition, our club is mindful of the need to enhance the lives of women and youth throughout the world.
We enjoy our work, and we enjoy the family we’ve created together.
Mt. tallac, rothschild/ torq’d clothing award/ scholarship
We have a privilege each year to award this scholarship in honor and memory of Joy, who was a true champion for the students attending Mt. Tallac High School, as well as keeping a special place in her heart for their efforts and accomplishments. This scholarship has been generously funded annually through Teri and Rocky Rothschild, along with Liz Prestella founder of Torq’d Clothing who celebrates the students pursing vocational training.
